What web technologies do you use?
What does a typical website cost?
The cost for implementing websites varies greatly depending on the complexity of the page structure and the functionality included. Typically, the small business sites we design and code range from $4,000 - $10,000. Of course, some sites are much higher than this. We will be happy to give you a quote for your project, if you contact us.
Can I use any hosting service for my website?
No, the websites we develop require a linux or unix server running Apache software and php version 5. We will need to have ftp and ssh (or telnet) access to your hosting server if you want Bubble Creek to install the website files. If the project uses a database, a recent version of MySql must also be installed. We can set up shared or dedicated hosting for you, if needed. Hosting for most sites costs under $25 per month.
Will my website work in every browser?
There are a lot of browsers out there today, and it wouldn't be practical for us to test every website on every browser. We typically test on three browsers: Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer. These are the most popular browsers in use, and together they expose most browser compatibility issues.
Why are there no links for some of the widgets on the widgets page?
blogs - we currently have no active blog clients.
event countdown timers - we currently have no active events we are counting down.
digital media delivery - at this time, none of our clients are delivering digital media.
content management systems - these are generally password protected so only authorized users can access them. If we were to include a link to one of our client's CMS, you would only be able to see the login screen, which wouldn't be very interesting.
Where is Bubble Creek Software located?
We are located in Sugar Land, Texas, a suburb of Houston.
